Bordo founder Bill Brown passes away

Melbourne, Australia: It is with much sadness that we report the passing of Bill Brown, the founder of Bordo International.
Bill passed away on 24 December 2009 at 93 years of age.
Up until only a few months ago, he had been turning up to the office every day; a testament to his life-long dedication to work.
Bill started Bordo after his retirement from another company he had founded, Brown & Watson Pty Ltd, famed for its Narva brand of automotive lighting. Begun in his mid-70s from his small garage, he built Bordo by focusing on people: bringing great products from great suppliers to resellers and customers throughout Australia. “We’re in the people business,” was one of his favourite sayings, and meeting and working with people were what made Bill tick. Today Bordo is run by his grandsons who have been fortunate to have been coached and mentored by Bill for many years.
While he will be greatly missed, Bill's legacy is perpetuated in all the people who knew him and benefitted from his warmth, empathy, humour, and above all, his great zest for life.
