Bondsert® Threaded Inserts: a truly versatile solution to your insert needs!

Thread inserts come in various forms, each with unique properties and uses. Best known for use in repairing broken threads, thread inserts are also used in OEM applications to strengthen threads in softer materials such as aluminium and magnesium. Because they are available in several forms it can be confusing as to which type should be selected for a particular job and why.
Today we're highlighting a thread insert that is not well known in Australia but absolutely should be: Bondsert®.
Bondsert Threaded Inserts are a simple and fast solution to a stronger fastener assembly in virtually any ferrous metal, as well as soft materials such as aluminium, magnesium and cast iron. They can be used for repairing stripped threads, and also to create stronger threads in original equipment.
The magic of Bondsert is the micro-encapsulated adhesive that begins to set immediately upon installation. This happens so fast that a fastener can be installed within minutes, and maximum insert strength is achieved in just 72 hours. At this point the micro-encapsulated adhesive also seals against liquids and gases up to 6,000 psi!
Bondsert Inserts are vibration resistant and will not back out or vibrate loose after installation. They have external threads of standard size and pitch so no special drills, taps or installation tools are required. In fact they can be installed with a screwdriver, bolt/jam nut, or power drive tool.
Available in metric and UN thread forms, Bondsert Inserts are available in both carbon steel and stainless steel, as well as a variety of wall thicknesses.
Bondsert Inserts are simple to use, seal against liquids and gases, and require no special installation tools. Why not give Bondsert a try: a truly versatile solution to your insert needs!
Whatever your thread insert requirement, Bordo has the expertise to help you select the most suitable type and guide you through the installation process.
